Bad breath? Fighting Plaque and Tartar? – try Plaqueoff

I’ve been struggling with extremely bad breath as well as tartar and plaque build up with my German Shepherd for months now. Her breath had gotten to the point where it smelled so terrible my husband could smell it on his arms at a distance whenever he would wrestle with her. I try my best to brush her teeth as good and often as I can but it’s always a struggle with her and enlisting the help of my husband isn’t always easy either. We usually have to crouch on the floor for a good 20-30 minutes and struggle with her to let us open her mouth long enough to get a single brushing in which always leaves us with bad back pain, my husband suffering the worst of it.  I wish I could do the job myself but honestly I probably wouldn’t get very far.

Luckily, one day while I was browsing around online I came across this product called ProDen Plaqueoff.

ProDen Plaqueoff is essentially a specially selected seaweed, Ascophyllum nodosum, that is harvested from the cold seas of Norway and Iceland. It helps fight plaque and tartar on tooth surfaces and reduces the presence of bacteria! This product is 100% natural and contains no artificial colors, preservatives, gluten and/or sugar. The great thing about this product is that you don’t need to apply it directly onto the tooth and brush, scrub, or even leave it on for a few minutes for it to begin working. This product works systematically, being absorbed into the bloodstream and then secreted by saliva, effectively preventing the accumulation of plaque by not allowing it to stick onto the teeth or other surfaces in the mouth. With just a sprinkle of the powder onto your pets food once a day for 3-8 weeks you can begin to see great improvements in your pets oral hygiene! Tartar that has already attached to the surfaces of teeth becomes porous and can be easily removed by brushing, cleaning or eventually looses by itself.

I bought the ProDen Plaqueoff Animal 40g, for both dog and cats, at my local dog boutique for about $30. This product contains 2.1 oz, instructions on the bottle itself as well as a small scooper found inside. For my German Shepherd I give her 2 scoops a day with her breakfast and for my cats I give them half a scoop also with their breakfast. The dosage amounts are listed on the bottle and depend on the weight of your pet.

For the first 2 weeks I checked our dogs teeth religiously and didn’t see any improvements. I thought for sure this was just another scam, a product that claimed to do all these amazing things but would eventually do nothing for my dog. But one day while I was doing my routine check of the animals, checking for any lumps, bumps, bruises, sores or warts that sort of thing, I decided to check on my dogs teeth and lo and behold this HUGE clump of tartar, that was the initial culprit in me trying to find something to help my dogs oral hygiene, was mysteriously gone! This tartar was litertally the size of my thumbs fingernail, very noticeable, and had been there for months no matter how hard or often I brushed her teeth it would just not come off. I was almost positive I would have to take her in to the vet to get a cleaning because this thing was just so MASSIVE! But with only 2 and half months or so of sprinkling Plaqueoff into her food it had disappeared! I couldn’t believe it! I went ahead and checked all of her molars and premolars and sure enough all of the pieces of tartar that had seemed super glued to her teeth were also gone.

I honestly do believe this product helped with the removal as well as reduction of plauque and tartar on her teeth, but I also feel like it worked best in conjunction with the bully sticks I was feeding her twice a week. I believe the constant grinding and chewing of the sticks helped to chip away the already loose tartar that had so vigorously attached itself to her teeth!
